The Braintree Enterprise Centre in its current location was built in 1989, since then it has operated as a start up/incubator seed bed for local businesses. Formerly known as Braintree Enterprise Acorn Units, the centre had an extension added in 2016. The newly built Ignite House now enables the organisation to offer an additional 11 mixed use units as well as conference facilities with a capacity of 80 and a hot desk café area.
The original centre has 30 ‘starter’ units and 2 office spaces, which range from 140 sq ft to 476 sq ft (plus mezzanine floor in some cases). The new building has 5 office units starting from 215 sq ft and six light-industrial units that are 430 sq ft. Both buildings also provide additional services to each tenant including:
Use of meeting room when available
Reception facilities during office hours
Shared kitchen and toilets
Independent and communal access.
Business advice including annual health checks by an independent consultant.
Our aim is to grow your business and in doing so provide you with the support you need. The premises are designed for the tenant to ideally stay for 3 to 5 years and grow their business, either moving into a larger unit or by moving into commercial premises.
